Untouched Natural Deodorant

Scroll

Summary:

Untouched is a natural deodorant brand dedicated to economic change that strives to care for the planet and your skin. It is a vegan product that uses natural, organic, and 100% active ingredients. The target demographic for this product is primarily millennial women. This target demographic will go the extra mile to shop sustainably and cruelty-free.

Problem:

Like many cosmetic products, deodorant and antiperspirant leave a negative mark on the environment. This is due to the ingredients they are composed of and the materials used to store and ship them.

Most deodorants contain harmful chemicals that once released into the waterway, pose a threat to organisms within. They also come in non-recyclable or non-degradable materials which contribute to the excessive trash that pollutes the environment. Not to mention, a number of larger cosmetic companies will test these products on animals.

Solution:

All packaging and shipping material made by Untouched is plant-based and compostable. The deodorant is stored in a kraft eco tube that is renewable, biodegradable, and recyclable. Products are sold online and ship to the customer in a mailer box. The box is made from recycled paper and labels are printed with refillable veg-ink which currently have a 50% carbon offset.

Design Approach:

The design approach is minimal and features abstract, organic shapes and landscapes. This style represents the minimal and organic ingredients used in the deodorant. The colour scheme reflects each of the scents; Chill Wave, Lavender, and Open Air. The typography used is clean, minimal and rounded which resembles the product.
